Elizabeth Garcia serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Linebarger and is an integral part of the firm’s statutory and regulatory compliance for all of our offices nationwide. Ms. Garcia is a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of legal experience, primarily serving as in-house counsel to organizations with nationwide operations in the Accounts Receivable Management industry.

Ms. Garcia is widely recognized for her strategic counsel in regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, contract negotiation, and litigation defense. She has a deep understanding of federal and state laws governing debt collection, including the FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, and emerging data privacy regulations. Her expertise extends to managing relationships with regulators such as state licensing bodies and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), ensuring full-scale operational compliance across jurisdictions.

Prior to Linebarger, she has held senior roles at Rausch Sturm LLP and SquareTwo Financial Corporation where her responsibilities have included drafting and negotiating complex contracts, overseeing firm licensure and compliance matters, defending against litigation (including class actions and appeals), and guiding firm-wide training initiatives. Ms. Garcia holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is admitted to practice in Colorado, Wisconsin, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
