El Paso Taxpayer Payment Assistance Reduces Pressure on City Staff
Every January, as the deadline for property taxes approaches, the payment line at the City of El Paso’s Tax office grows longer.
That’s when Linebarger’s team of tax professionals begins staffing a taxpayer assistance kiosk to help reduce those lines – as well as the pressure on city staff.
The kiosk helps taxpayers with questions about their tax bill. Taxpayers can receive a print out of their account number, to speed the payment process, a copy of their tax statements, or they can securely drop off payments and avoid the lines completely.
“We appreciate the extra help that Linebarger’s team provides,” says Maria Pasillas, El Paso City Tax Assessor Collector. “Because of this extra resource, our taxpayers get much better service and our office is able to process payments faster. By having dedicated professionals to answer questions, taxpayers are able to have everything they need to make their payment by the deadline.”
The kiosk is staffed by Linebarger team members each business day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“This is a great example of our firm’s commitment to customer service,” says Carmen Perez, Managing Partner of Linebarger’s El Paso office. “We take this opportunity to help the tax office during its busiest time of the year – whether it’s by educating taxpayers, making payments more convenient, or providing critical information when it’s needed most. We are happy to partner with the City of El Paso in the collection of taxes, and to help make the payment process more convenient for taxpayers.”
Through a joint venture of local attorneys and the Linebarger Firm formed in 2001, Delgado Acosta Spencer Linebarger & Perez, LLP has been providing tax collection services to the El Paso City Tax Assessor Collector for 21 years.
