Girl Power in Fort Worth

Managing Partner Barbara Williams recently attended the 2021 Girls Inc. Champions Breakfast at the Fort Worth Zoo. This annual event celebrates Girls Inc. of Tarrant County’s Bold Women honorees, whose leadership and advocacy positively affect girls and women. This event also recognizes Girls Inc. of Tarrant County’s business partners and Champions for Girls giving society members.

This event would traditionally be held in March, in honor of Women’s history month. However, due to COVID-19, the event was rescheduled.

“It was an honor to celebrate Girls Inc. of Tarrant County,” said Barbara. “I look forward to seeing all the wonderful things this organization will continue to do for girls in our community.”

Girls Inc. of Tarrant County is one of 85 affiliates associated with Girls Inc., National. Established in 1976, Girls Inc. of Tarrant County aims to support young women through programs that support health, education, career readiness, and independence. They work with schools, libraries, and other non-profit organizations across Tarrant County.

Barbara formerly served two years as Chair of Girls Inc. of Tarrant Country, continues to be a Girls Inc. Champion and is deeply involved in her community.
