Harris Continues to Help with Philadelphia Renaissance

Philadelphia Office Managing Partner Mark Harris Appointed to Neighborhood Improvement Board

Continuing the Firm’s dedication to the North Broad Renaissance Project (NBR), Philadelphia Office Managing Partner Mark Harris recently announced his appointment to the NBR Board of Directors. Mark is one of five new NBR Board Members appointed to a three-year term.

The NBR is a non-profit organization that serves as a Special Service District (SSD) to primarily provide communication and information to those who do business along the North Broad Street corridor, a major boulevard that stretches from Philadelphia’s City Hall to Germantown Avenue. North Broad Street is steeped in the history and culture of Philadelphia. In partnership with community stakeholders, NBR works to revitalize the community and improve the economic power and overall quality of life along North Broad Street.

Linebarger entered into a partnership with the North Broad Renaissance Project in 2019 through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). This program encourages local businesses to invest in projects to improve distressed areas by allowing for-profit businesses to partner with non- profit businesses to receive funding. Under this program, the business taxes that Linebarger would normally remit to the City of Philadelphia goes to North Broad Renaissance Project for the support of its initiatives.

Philadelphia staff has in the past, and continues to volunteer their time with the North Broad Renaissance Project for various projects.
