Houston Office Staff Speak at Texas Association of Assessing Officers

The Houston Office made a “spooktacular” appearance at the Texas Association of Assessing Officers (TAAO) Gulf Coast Chapter’s Fall Seminar on Oct. 29, 2019. Leah Stolar, Deanna Longo and Houston intern, Myles Shaw, addressed changes in the Property Tax Code related to “heirship property” and “heirship property owners.” Deanna Longo could not resist the pun “Deed de los Muertos” while addressing the lack of title transfer documentation in many heirship cases. Derick Mendoza spoke on the topic of ethics with a presentation titled “Property Tax Professionals: Appraising Your Ethics.”
