Latinas Supporting Latinas in Dallas Fort Worth

The DFW Hispanic 100 Latina Giving Circle (LGC) recently raised over $150K for non-profits in the Dallas Fort Worth Area that assist Latinas and Latino families. Linebarger Dallas Office Managing Partner Bridget Lopez is co-chair of the LGC.

“We are working hard for better opportunities and progress for our community,” Bridget said. “Through the Latina Giving Circle, we are giving Latinas an opportunity to not only survive through the Covid-19 pandemic but also thrive.”

These donations will go directly to an estimated 35 non-profits in the area serving Latina populations. The Covid-19 pandemic hit Latinas especially hard with almost a 20% unemployment rate at one point, along with child care issues, rent shortage, and public safety concerns. As a result, the organization focuses on non-profits that impact financial security, health, safety, leadership, and business initiatives.
