Linebarger Sponsors Renowned Holiday Market with German Roots

This holiday season residents of Arlington and Tarrant County, Texas will have the chance to enjoy a German market while staying in the temperate climate of North Texas. Sponsored by Linebarger’s Fort Worth office, the Christkindl market is open now through Dec. 22.

“We are honored to be part of such a great tradition,” Partner Steve Meeks said. “We hope that everyone enjoys it.”

The Christkindl market started in 2011 and strives to recreate the look and feel of the holiday markets found throughout Germany at this time of the year, including in Arlington’s German sister city, Bad Königshofen. The market’s name, Christkindl, is also inspired by German tradition. Like Santa Clause, the Christkindl Angel brings gifts to children on Christmas Eve after they have all gone to bed.

As mentioned, the market is open now through Dec. 22. The ice rink is open daily until Jan. 3. A variety of live entertainment will take place during the market. Vendors will also be selling food and holiday items, including handcrafted gifts.
