Partner Highlight – Barbara Williams, Fort Worth Office Managing Partner
Ms. Williams recently assumed the helm of Linebarger’s Fort Worth office as managing partner. A member of the Firm’s Management Committee since 2005, Ms. Williams is no stranger to making executive-level decisions relating to the Firm’s operations, marketing, and management. She also oversees all operations for the Firm’s Las Vegas office.
Barbara Williams received her Bachelors of Science in Education from Texas Tech University and pursued a Master of Science in Education from Abilene Christian University. She then taught high school science and math. After several years of teaching, as a single parent, she made a major career change in order to provide a better life for her children. Setting her sights on a law degree, Ms. Williams attended Baylor University School of Law.

Barbara was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1988 and the Nevada Bar in 2007. Before joining Linebarger in 1998, she was a partner at Rohne, Hoodenpyle, Lobert & Myers in Arlington, TX, practicing taxation, municipal law, and school law. While at Rohne, she served as City Attorney for Crowley and Interim City Attorney for White Settlement. Barbara has practiced in the area of tax collection for over 30 years.
Ms. Williams is deeply involved in her community and supports various civic organizations outside of Linebarger. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Tarrant County and Woman Steering Business. She has been Chair or President of Girls Inc. of Tarrant County, Woman’s Policy Forum, Arlington South Rotary, and Fort Worth SPARC, and has served on the board of SafeHaven of Tarrant County and Albany Texas ISD Board of Trustees (1979-1982). She is also a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.
She is a member of Texas Bar Foundation, Tarrant County Bar Foundation, State Bar of Texas and State Bar of Nevada.
