Technology Bridges the Gap Between Office, Home, and Beyond

As we adjust to a new normal, we see examples of Linebarger’s teams across multiple offices going above and beyond while working remotely. From Dallas using Zoom to complete trainings to East Texas going to court via Zoom, our Information Technology Group (ITG) team’s application of technology has made remote work virtually seamless.

Within a week’s time, our ITG team increased VPN-capable users from 300 to 900. The average number of daily VPN users went from 75 to 700 and continues to grow.

To help manage this expanding number of VPN users, ITG created a virtual infrastructure to support laptops, firm desktops at home, personal computers, MAC computers, smartphones, mobile devices, video conferencing, collaboration tools, and more.

ITG worked with multiple departments to ensure all necessary security policies and procedures are in place. At the same time, our ITG Network, Telephony, Server, and Security teams facilitated this transition to a transparent process for the end user.

ITG continues to provide excellent support for all internal employees by maintaining over 99 percent system availability, and resolving most Help Desk Tickets in less than 15 minutes.

Recent investments in updated communication systems ensure timely communication between Linebarger personnel and our clients. Our intranet, Learning Management System (LMS), emergency text notification system, LGBS.com website pages, and updated phone IVR messages are all used to keep both Linebarger staff and clients informed and safe.

Keeping our staff safe while continuing to provide essential services remains Linebarger’s top priority.  As more staff shift to working online, Linebarger will continue to use our technology to deliver exceptional work for all of our clients.
