Barbara Williams leverages her decades of experience for Linebarger in overseeing the operation of the firm’s Fort Worth office as Managing Partner and chairing the firm’s Client Relations Subcommittee.

Prior to joining Linebarger in 1998, Ms. Williams was a partner at Rohne, Hoodenpyle, Lobert & Myers where she practiced in the area of municipal and school law, as well as tax collection. She served as City Attorney for City of Crowley and as Interim City Attorney for White Settlement.

Ms. Williams is a member of the Texas and Nevada State Bars, the Tarrant County Bar, the Tarrant County Women’s Bar, the Tarrant County Bar Foundation, the Clark County Bar, and she is a former member of the Property Tax Committee of the Texas Bar. In 1997, Ms. Williams addressed the United States Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Administrative Oversight and the Courts, highlighting the impact of bankruptcy on school finance.

Ms. Williams is drawn to organizations that support the education of girls and women in her community. She serves on both the board and the executive committee of the United Way of Tarrant County, is a board member of Women Steering Business, has chaired Girls Inc., Tarrant County, Women’s Policy Forum, and Fort Worth SPARC. She has served on the board of SafeHaven and the Board of Trustees of Albany ISD, and she has worked as a judge for Arlington Teen Court.

Ms. Williams is admitted to practice law in Texas and Nevada, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas Tech University, Master of Science in Education from Abilene Christian University, and Doctor of Jurisprudence from Baylor University School of Law.
