Tynesea Watts joined Linebarger’s Houston office in 2026. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in French Language and Literature and received her Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 2025, where she served as Parliamentarian of the Black Law Student Association and was a member of the Tulane Journal of Intellectual Property and Technology.

Ms. Watts has experience in litigation, governmental affairs, regulatory compliance, legislative policy, and legal research. Her practice focuses on navigating complex legal and regulatory issues, conducting statutory and regulatory analysis, and advising on matters involving governmental entities, compliance, and public policy. She has supported complex litigation and legal matters through research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing mediation and litigation materials, developing case strategy, and evaluating substantive and procedural legal issues.

Ms. Watts’ legal experience spans sophisticated practice environments, including family law and trust litigation, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, corporate compliance, and nonprofit policy. Her regulatory and policy experience includes conducting legislative and regulatory research, monitoring legal and policy developments, and analyzing the implications of proposed legislation and regulatory changes. She has also advised on matters involving privacy, intellectual property, corporate policies, platform compliance, and governmental affairs.

Ms. Watts brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her practice, combining strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills with experience in litigation, regulatory matters, public policy, and governmental affairs. Her approach is grounded in careful legal analysis, strategic problem-solving, and a practical understanding of the regulatory and institutional environments in which her clients operate.
