Partner Chairs State Bar of Texas Hispanic Issues Section

Houston partner, Angelica Hernandez was recently elected as Chair of the State Bar of Texas Hispanic Issues Section (HIS). The HIS provides a common meeting ground and forum for members of the legal profession for consideration of special issues with respect to recognition and enjoyment of constitutional rights of the Hispanic Community. 

As a result of her past service as a council member, Angelica has received three awards; two from the Hispanic Issues Section and one from the State Bar of Texas President. In her past roles as both a Council Member and Officer, Angelica assisted with numerous committees, statewide membership drives, membership outreach, Continuing Legal Education programming on legislative issues, and volunteer work.

As Chair, Angelica will preside at all meetings of the Section and of the Hispanic Issues Section Council, will assist in formulating programming including Continuing Legal Education, and present a report of the Section at the annual meeting of the State Bar of Texas.
